I’m back from my honeymoon in Vermont. We stayed in Stowe, but visited a bunch of other towns, most significantly, Burlington. I fell in love with Burlington. That’s all I’ll say right now. We visited a bunch of breweries and brewpubs and bought waaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyy more beer than we can drink (though we’ll be happy to share… I think we came home with about 2-3 cases worth of beer). Anyway, I’m back. I’ll post more about everything at some point (possibly tomorrow after we finish unpacking). Vermont is officially my favorite state and Burlington is officially my new favorite city.

My wedding went by without a hitch. It could not have been more perfect. If you are having a wedding in Rhode Island, you should seriously consider the Providence Biltmore Hotel. They made the day absolutely wonderful.
Note: I wrote this at one point planning to finish it before I left for the honeymoon, but didn’t. I’m just hitting publish on it and leaving it at that. ![]()
I might be MIA for a bit. Our wedding is on Saturday. We leave on Monday for our honeymoon in Vermont. I’m hoping I’ll find some time to blog a little about the trip. We will be doing at least 3 brewery tours, maybe 4. I’ll keep those a surprise for all you reader(s) out there. I’ll also write about any other fun stuff we do outside the hotel (though there is a good beer bar in the hotel, so we may not have to leave very often).
Anyway, don’t be surprised if I don’t write any updates for about a week or so… I’ll be getting married and going on a honeymoon. I might send updates to Twitter since I can do that from my cell phone.
So if you haven’t noticed, I’ve been away for a bit. I’ve got a bunch of stuff (at least beer and technology wise) to write about. I’ll hopefully get a post or 2 up tomorrow. I just spent a week in CT and got back this afternoon and had to unpack and now I need some sleep. Stay tuned… but until then, Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Festivus, Happy (?) Kwanzaa, Happy Yule, and Happy New Year! (that should cover all the major ones)
As a little teaser, I’ll be writing about my new GPS (it’s a TomTom), two Wii games, beer (a Saison and Newport Storm’s yearly releases from this year and last year and a very brief mention of a few others I had), and a little bit about small towns in New England.
I know my tagline includes music and there aren’t a whole lot of posts other than those about RIAA trials. I used to listen to a lot of music (and still do), but money has been tight lately. I haven’t been able to get out to see as many live bands as I would like. That will hopefully change starting after the holidays are over. In addition to being able to check out more bands, I’ll also be continuing to increase my CD collection, which is still increasing, though slowly (I’m awaiting the new Phish, Live in Las Vegas album, including the bonus DVD and CD, which should arrive by the end of the month, after which I will post a review, as objective as it may be).
As for the urbanism posts, they tend to relate strictly to Providence and things have quieted down here a bit lately. I’ll be trying to get at least one post every couple weeks related to urban issues.
And regardless of what the tagline says, those are my main interests. Everything else falls under “life…”. ![]()
I had to do that for the title because I’m a dork like that. Welcome to my new blog. I decided to keep my interests separate from our “family” site. Until I decide to buy a new domain, this site will sit at the current location. Not sure what my plans are for this yet, but I’m sure there’ll be discussion of urban issues, tech issues, beer, music, and life, sometimes all in the same post.
The look of this site will evolve as I learn more and more about Wordpress and this theme (which I happen to really like).
