Sean:

Do you mean Firefox 3? Also, is this for the search thingy built into Firefox or is it something else? I'm really confused (though that could be the crazy wedding crap I'm dealing with now).

Might I suggest that once you get the site up an running, that, for those that use Firefox, you get some autodiscovery XML search options set up? If you need an example, see http://www.sean-ward.com/2006/10/24/ieee_oui_search_for_firefox_2/ The easiest way I would see to do it is to then create a page on the wiki that has the 3 different (one for wiki, blog, and forum) XML files embedded in it. Unless there are restrictions on the searching functionality, I can't imagine those not working.

Speaking of, I need to update the one I have for BGSU username searches, since we've migrated over to Exchange now.

You've given me some good ideas for my work. The wiki thing's a no-brainer. I'm going to pitch the idea to my boss for our tech "how-tos". Currently we have a bunch of .doc and .pdf files in directories on the network, sometimes different versions of the same files are out there. And to top it off, I think most people don't even know/remember the stuff is out there. A website would make it so much easier for people to access.

I think the forums would be a great resource for our teachers, too. I think they would jump all over that. I'm not sure about setting up blogs, but I think it might be something the superintendent and principles could utilize.
