Stone Imperial Russian Stout

I had the bottle of Stone Imperial Russian Stout tonight.  I’ll start out with I think this one needs some aging.  That being said, it pours a thick dark black with a moderate dark tan head.  Smells of roasted malts, chocolate, and coffee.  Taste is slightly metallic, but the roasted malts come through.  It has a dark chocolate bitterness to it and some roasted coffee in there as well.  It’s strong, but you can’t taste the alcohol.  It seems slightly off, but I think a little aging will smooth it out a bit.

I’m going to buy at least another bottle to age for a year and see how it turns out.
