I just thought that I’d post this for anyone who is in the Providence area and reads my blog. Nikki’s Liquors in North Providence (right on the Providence line in the Shaw’s plaza on Admiral St) is holding a Valentine’s Day tasting tonight featuring Lindeman’s Belgian Lambic beers (Framboise, Cassis, Peche, Pomme, Kriek, and their Gueuze) and fine chocolates.
I’ve had their Framboise, Cassis, and Peche and I love the Framboise and Cassis. The Peche is a little too sweet for my tastes. These aren’t your normal Lambics, which tend to be on the sour or tart side. Lindeman’s beers are a bit sweeter and more wine- or Champagne-like in flavor.
