Someone suggested since I like beer so much I have to write about this and go. Unfortunately, I have other plans and will not be able to attend the beer festival. Regardless, I wanted to let anyone who might read this from the RI area know about the Great International Beer Festival held at the Rhode Island Convention Center in Providence. I’ve heard through the grapevine that this year’s festival is looking to be a good one. As I said, I would be there if I didn’t have other plans. In the past, I’ve heard that it’s over-crowded and the beer isn’t anything special (at least nothing to make it worth the admission fee and all the crowds). So for anyone who really likes beer and wants to get the most out of the fest, I suggest you go to the earlier session and hang out at one of Providence’s beer bars or brewpubs afterwards.
If you’re going to be here Friday night, there’s a pre-party at Track 84 in Warwick. I’ve heard they’ll have some good stuff on tap that night (stuff that you can’t normally get in RI and stuff that you won’t be able to get at the beer fest).
