Weird Al’s “Bob”

I just heard Weird Al Yankovic’s “Bob” for the first time today, even though it was released on his 2003 album Poodle Hat. The song is made up entirely of palindromes. The video was made to look very similar to Bob Dylan’s video for “Subterranean Homesick Blues” with Al standing in an alley tossing off cue cards.

Anyway, here’s the video of “Bob”.

Feel free to delete this when you get it, but the embedded YouTube video has screwed up your site. At least that what I think it was that did it. I’ve always had issues with some kinds of embedded objects if they aren’t done correctly.

I tried to embed 2 YouTube videos (showing the original Dylan video as well) and that’s what screwed it up. It’s fixed now with just 1 video. I’ll have to figure out what happened. Wordpress seemed to change some of the code after I submitted the post.

Yes, it does that; let me guess, it changed “embed” to “ibed”? I will say that I did not have that issue with the latest version of WP.

It actually moved some of the object tags around. Eventually I’ll upgrade, I just fear carnage.

And carnage there would be. I just had time to watch the video, and I like the joke waiting to happen in the background. That is, the rabbi and (what appears to be) a priest. If only they walked into a bar…
